Dr. Forough Shams is currently an Assistant Professor of Molecular Medicine at the School of Advanced Technologies in Medicine, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. With numerous scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, her expertise includes gene targeting and genome editing using CRISPR-based approaches for genetic diseases. She has taught various courses, such as Bioinformatics, Cell Bank and Cell Therapy, Genetic engineering, and 2D & 3D Cell Culture, for PhD students at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. Additionally, she has extensive experience mentoring and supervising PhD and master's students.
Dr. Forough Shams has contributed to the management and establishment of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards for the Cellular & Molecular Lab at the Research Institute for Dental Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran, and serves as a secondary member of the institute.
